My story: from expatriate mom looking for meaning to successful entrepreneur

My name is School, Franco-Dutch. I'm a mom of 2 teenagers, married and citizens of the world for over 28 years.

From Rio to Madagascar, from Dubai to Kuala Lumpur, to Portugal todayI built my life at the pace of suitcases, meetings... and my own reinventions.

I long thought that "successful", That was to check all the boxes.
And I checked them all: a position of responsibility, a beautiful house in Dubai, happy children, a loving husband.

But by force to do everything right – the mother, the boss, the perfect wife – I got myself disconnected from myself. Until the day life stopped. Literally. A car accident upset everything.

On that day, I realized I was no longer aligned. That I lived to meet the expectations of others... instead oflisten to my inner truth.

So I asked for help: I started my first accompaniment with a coach and I continued the work started with my psychotherapist. It was starting point of a new path.

I've changed course. I started my first business in an area I knew by heart: Gifts With Purchase and eco-friendly packaging.

Then a small brand of child accessories for a Kuala Lumpur NGO, which helped Afghan refugee women regain their autonomy.

But I felt something bigger called me.

And one day, as I came to land in Portugal, that word I had so much asked me came, one morning: holistic.

What I never really dared to tell was that faith in « that taller than me » Never left me.

At the age of 12, I experienced a powerful, founding spiritual experience. — a Christian experience of joy, light and unconditional love.
Since then, I know the invisible supports us.
This faith accompanies me in storms as well as in impulses, and gives me strength of resilience and deep confidence.

I understood that my vocation,it was a good ideaaccompanying expatriate women like me to reconnect to their truth, to dare choose one another, to build a business that honors, nourishes and flourishes them.

And that's how it was born Gateway Coaching by Élo. My heartwork. My life mission.
